The origins of IKING can be traced back to a single glass wool production line. As early as 1995, the manufacturing plant behind the IKING brand had already been established, rooted in the front line of thermal insulation production. The founder’s father, Mr Ji, worked on that glass wool line for many years. With quiet dedication and professionalism, he demonstrated what it means to “do one thing well”. His respect for manufacturing and his insistence on quality were naturally passed on within the family and planted the seed of IKING’s commitment to focusing on high-quality insulation materials.
When the internet rose and cross-border trade began to flourish, Mr Ji Guoliang, having completed his master’s degree, saw a new opportunity: to bring quality insulation materials made in China to customers worldwide through cross-border e-commerce. In 2009, building on existing cooperation with factories, he set up a foreign trade division and, in the same year, founded IKING Group’s Hong Kong company. This marked the official start of IKING’s e-commerce journey.
With just one computer and one small room at home, he began his entrepreneurial path – coordinating with factories and refining products by day, and communicating with overseas customers across time zones by night. From there, batches of glass wool products started to reach markets around the world.
As the customer base and order volume grew, a three-person export team was formed. The office “grew” together with the business – almost every three years, IKING moved to a bigger space: from a home office, to a small rented office, and eventually to a 600 m² full-floor independent office. The company expanded from one person with one computer to a professional team of more than fifty people, and from zero sales to annual revenue exceeding RMB 270 million. Every relocation has marked a new chapter in IKING’s development.
Throughout this process, IKING did not remain just a trading company. Instead, it deliberately moved towards becoming an integrated manufacturer and trading group. Starting with investment in glass wool plants, IKING successively invested in mineral wool, elastomeric insulation, ceramic fibre, waterproof breathable membrane and stud welding plants, building genuine end-to-end capabilities from manufacturing to export.
After more than a decade of continuous investment and upgrading, IKING has developed a coordinated, multi-base production system:

In November 2025, IKING Group was awarded the title of “Alibaba B2B Cross-border E-commerce Dream-chasing Base” by Alibaba Group. This distinction reflects Alibaba’s recognition of IKING’s performance in cross-border e-commerce operations, digital capabilities and brand development. It is also a strong, independent endorsement of IKING’s overall strength and gives global customers yet another reason to feel confident when choosing IKING.

2009 – Founder Mr Ji Guoliang established the company in Hong Kong and invested in the first Alibaba insulation materials platform, marking the start of IKING’s cross-border e-commerce journey.
2013 – Formed the first three-person export sales team, officially launching international business operations.
2014 – Established Tianjin IKING Gerui Business Co., Ltd. to further expand into global markets, and won second place in Alibaba Tianjin “Chenxinghui” e-commerce competition, showcasing the team’s early potential.

2015 – Invested in glass wool and mineral wool production lines, upgrading from a pure trading company to an integrated manufacturer and trader. Registered the ISOKING brand for glass wool and mineral wool, laying the foundation for IKING’s own brand portfolio.

2017 – Invested in the ceramic fibre production lines, launched the KINGWOOL brand and obtained CE certification for ceramic fibre products, accelerating the brand’s entry into international markets.

2018 – Expanded the team to 15 people and relocated to a new office. Glass wool, mineral wool and related products have obtained multiple international certifications.

2019 – Invested in the elastomeric foam production lines and launched the FIRSTFLEX brand. With the brand matrix further strengthened, annual cross-border e-commerce exports exceeded 10,000 tons.

2020 – Quickly pivoted during the Special Period to source and consolidate medical and protective supplies for overseas customers, demonstrating strong social responsibility and further driving overseas business growth.

2020 – Established a subsidiary in the United States and successfully registered the ISOKING and FIRSTFLEX trademarks there, accelerating global brand deployment.
2021 – Invested in a stud welding equipment and studs production lines, leveraging the Belt and Road Initiative to upgrade the industrial structure and added a new Alibaba platform, further enhancing cross-border e-commerce capabilities.

2024 – Invested in the waterproof breathable membrane production lines, strengthening multi-category supply capabilities, improving one-stop sourcing efficiency and reducing overall procurement costs.
2024 – Established Operations and Procurement Departments, optimising the group’s organisational structure and strengthening brand, marketing and quality governance to safeguard customers’ key-account sourcing better.
2025 – Clarified the long-term strategic roadmap, expanded the export team to 60 people and acquired a new 700 m² full-floor office to solidify the foundation for sustainable development further.

2025 – Awarded the title of "Alibaba B2B Cross-border E-commerce Dream Base" by Alibaba Group, gaining recognition from Alibaba International Station and helping more trading companies embark on their brand globalisation journey.
